But over the next few hours you will see how intrinsically this is linked to the crisis in SE Congo.
Basically, Pete has to decide whether to go into work and (some might say) contribute to the rebuilding of communities in Katanga. But he could also stay at home and save the life of a geranium plant that's been waiting for planting out for several days.
Impossible choice! What do you think he should do?
Find out more about some of the MSF people involved in this decision at the blog Graham has set up.

Robin! Careful dude... Lucy might be reading this and I told her that I had food poisoning!
This is indeed an impossible choice. But in MSF Pete is a small cog in a big humanitarian flymo. By nurturing the geranium Pete will derive a greater sense of satisfaction and enjoy tangible results. Furthermore, geraniums were always the first thing my Mum would buy at the garden centre as people in "crisis situations" weren't for sale in that branch.
